Choosing to ingest your placenta post birth is a personal choice/experiment that reaps it's own rewards and experiences. There are many different schools of thought that contribute to human placentophagy (the eating of ones placenta). From eating a piece raw straight after birth, in a smoothie, cooked into a meal like lasagna or dried and consumed as a powder, there have been many experiments throughout history. Traditionally in Chinese Medicine texts Zi He Che (human placenta) is believed to hold dense nutrition for the mother to increase lactation, and those with indications of other ailments such as infertility or deficiencies. The placenta was traditionally prepared (dried) and combined with herbs to augment the Qi (energy of the body) and nourish the Xue (blood) and bring warmth to restore the vital energies of the body (Jing). This is the foundation for all of the Placenta Preparations.

Preparation and Expectations
All of the post natal placenta preparations are packaged in dark amber jars or bottles to ensure no harsh light penetrates to your preparations. This is an integral part of the process as this may tarnish your preparation quicker and damage the therapeutic integrity. You are paying not for your own placenta, but for the kind, aware and cleanly manner in which your placenta is prepared. The supplies and materials used and to have it conveniently prepared in a quick time frame for your recovery.
A raw method approach is adhered to with each placenta for encapsulation unless otherwise discussed. This means the placenta is not cooked, it is cleaned and prepared before being dehydrated over an 18-24 hour period. Kahmen has studied with many of the leading raw food experts and understands the raw food methods and philosophies to not destroy the vital nutrients and proteins via steam or cooking. Your dried placenta is then mixed with quality Chinese herbs and encapsulated in vegetable capsules for your convenience to consume easily and with pleasure. Taking your placenta medicine is an easy integration into your morning and afternoon ritual. Best taken with some food and not too late in the evening.
All preparations include a water paper print of your placenta, a love-heart keep sake if there is enough umbilical cord and some herbal tea to enjoy your placenta medicine.
Pick-up and drop off to (Royal Women's, Sunshine, Werribee Mercy, Epworth Freemason's, St Vincent's) hospitals or homebirths in the west Melbourne down to Geelong surf coast and inner CBD region is also included in the price.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking and the remainder of the service fee is due at 37 weeks of pregnancy.
Please make an enquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org if any of the above preparations may make a difference in your post partum recovery.
